'This study ‘Investigating Learning Disability Nurses’ Perceptions of Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Council and wider Impact on RNLD Nursing Students and People living with an Intellectual Disability’ Study Aim and Objectives 1.To investigate RNLD perceptions of registration with the NMC and their thoughts about the impact on RN:D nurses on people living with an intellectual disability and thoughts regarding the future of RNLD nurses a)Obj 1- to ascertain where LD nurses are working and in what capacity/role. b)Obj 2- To explore the impact of this work on their identity as a RNLD 2.To investigate student RNLD nurses’ experiences of practice placements and perception of the role of RNLD nurses a)Obj- to understand the impact of the reduction of RNLD registered nurses (with the NMC) on the future workforce 3.To examine the impact that RNLDs have on people living with an intellectual disability and their families/carers. a)Obj- To explore the perceptions of service users and carers of the value of the RNLD.'
